The CPS-400 Self-Adjusting Rectifier

CPS-400 State-Of-The-Art Rectifier Works to Keep Your Tanks and Pipelines In State and Federal Compliance

Now you can prove your underground steel tanks or pipelines are being provided with optimal impressed current as recommended by state and federal regulators.

Configure the CPS-400 to meet your installation's requirements with the easy to use menuing system. The microprocessor controlled 400 watt rectifier self-monitors and adjusts its output for changing soil and anode conditions while periodically recording critical operating levels.

Using proprietary technology, the CPS-400 will take rectifier running IR-Free readings when used with a permanently installed reference cell. It also employs an integral interrupter to take conventional instant-off readings at user-set intervals.

The CPS-400 can also be configured to regulate to a user-set current level when use of a permanent reference cell is not feasible.

Matco Associates in conjuction with Automated CP Systems, Inc. offers Remote Monitoring Services for users of the CPS-400. With this service, the rectifier can communicate via phone or network to CPS's 24 hour monitoring service. The rectifier is able to report the status of the output current, voltage, reference cell potential, transformer tap settings, operational history, as well as any user settable alarm conditions.

  • Documents Regulatory Compliance with On-board Data-Recorder.
  • Self-Adjusts to Maintain either Reference Cell Potential or a User-set Current Level.
  • Can be Remotely Monitored with Monthly Reporting and Immediate Web- Based Inquiries.
  • Self-adjusting and Self-diagnostic Design Minimizes Need for Expensive Field Service Visits.

Paint Analysis:
On-site and laboratory investigation of paint delamination failures (flaking and peeling) on galvanized structural members of several major stadiums in the United States.

Enviromental Testing:

Comparative testing of the resistance of pharmaceutical labels to environmental stresses (MFG, Humidity, and QUV testing) for a major drug company to determine what labels held up the best.

Fire Investigation:
Same-day analysis of the effects of a truck fire on the superstructure of a major highway bridge to determine whether or not the highway could remain open.

Explosion Invesgitagtion:

Failure analysis of a gas main explosion that caused casualities.

Power Plants:
Failure analysis and remaining life determination of boiler componets in the power industry.

New Materials:
Electrochemical corrosion evaluation of implant materials such as hips, knees, stents, etc. to improve products and performance.
