Recognizing Hazardous Waste

The federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) lists certain waste as hazardous. In addition, materials are considered hazardous and require special handling if they show certain characteristics. Recognizing those characteristics requires testing or generator’s knowledge.

Do you know what type of waste you are generating or what requirements must be met? For example, a waste can be of hazardous, non-hazardous, and/or residual types. Once you can determine the waste, as a generator you must comply with certain regulations. At MATCO we can determine the type of waste for you, provide information as how to dispose them, and do the reporting and other federal and state compliance requirements. Some of the services with regard to the type of waste are as follow:

At MATCO, we will also develop various types of non-regulatory reporting specific to your needs as required by your corporation or site facility. By doing so, your company can have a better understanding of your daily operations related to chemical usage, waste generation, and any other area that your organization may be interested in.
